Our head of state will be hoping for a warmer welcome to Tralee than he got outside a Dublin school last week, when he visits in February.
President Micheal D Higgins will be in IT Tralee’s North Campus on Febuary 24 to officially launch the college’s UNESCO Chair in Inclusive PE, Sport, Fitness and Recreation.
The President’s visit will be invite only, but people not on the list can watch events streamed online on the IT Tralee website.
An exhibition, showcasing the work of organisations who advocate the inclusion of people with disabilities through their services and products, will take place on the day.
